Geothermal HVAC Residential
Hands Down The Most Energy Efficient System Money Can Buy
COMFORT SYSTEMS: The GEOICE heat pump system was developed to make commercial and private refrigeration to optimize ICE RINKs. The system performs so well in its native function that it was a natural organic transition to supply Comfort HVAC for residential applications in samller sizes with room by room control and placement of heat or cooling as required by the occupant of the room at the setpoint chosen. Our systems can be supplied as a central forced air system with zonal control or with zone by zone source supply of heating and air conditioning. In eaither option , in cooling mode we provide free domestic hot water.
Our system works on the principle of thermodynamics. For heating we extract heat from the ground and or water, through geothermal boreholes and introduce the heat into a series of tanks to deliver the HAVC requirements for use in the system. For cooling we extract heat from the facility and transport the heat to the geothermal boreholes or reject it to the tanks for use in the system and or express the heat to atmosphere if it is greater than the capacity of the ground loop system.
The most efficient geothermal heat pumps are the water-to-water heat pumps, so called because they extract heat from the ground via wells drilled to a depth of 540′ and transfer the heat to water circulating through the circuit pipes which are conteianed within the well (or borehole) system known as the loop and ultimately to the facility or process system.
Thanks to the high performance of geothermal heat pumps, we can multiply the value of electricity consumption by as much 4 or 5 times (depending on the external conditions and the installation), i.e., with 1 kW of electricity consumed we can generate 4 kW to 5 kW of thermal energy.
